- Taking a shower - even if it is at a truck stop where you receive a free shower for every 50 gallons of fuel you purchase. They provide one towel and a small bar of soap for your shower. I try very hard not to think about what, where, or with whom that towel has spent time with and try to convince myself I'm the first to use it.
- Eating at a restaurant whose name doesn't include the word "buffet," or advertises that if you can eat the 72 ounce steak, you get it FREE.
- Watching the sun wake up in the morning or go to bed at night.
- Park the truck and trailer perfectly between the parking lines, in front of all the other drivers.
- Having a group of construction workers whistle, wave and flirt with me as I drive past them.
- Making good friends with fellow drivers at Watkins Shepard.
- Having a great conversation with my best friend and co-driver.
- Getting a chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream cone at the Little America truck stop in Flagstaff, AZ.
