Shannon and I are seriously wondering if I'm cursed or blessed because everytime I get behind the wheel anywhere in the country where the weather has the slightest potential for ice or snow, a blizzard blows our way and I, the most inexperienced driver of the two of us, is stuck driving this 18 wheel, 80,000 pound beast down a snow and ice covered freeway lane that increasingly becomes narrower and narrower as the snow covers the lines and driving by braille becomes my standard operating procedure as the rumble of the tires running over the little "turtles" are the only way I have to confirm that the rig is anywhere close to where it should be. Shannon says I'm blessed because I'm getting the experience needed to become a #1 rated driver in all conditions. I say cursed because everytime I go through one of these excruciating tense and stress-filled driving sessions, I lose 10 years off my already too short life as it is! I've added a video to the slideshow of some of the conditions I spent hours driving through on Valentine's Day. As of this writing, Shannon says he has a Valentine's card for me but we've been too busy to actually get the card in my hand. It wouldn't have done much good for Shannon to give it to me yesterday because I would have been too tired to open it. There's always tomorrow!
