We Are Truly Blessed

We weren't sure whether or not we'd make it home for Thanksgiving but we did - just in the knick of time, too, because I thought if I went another day without seeing our kids and all of our munchkins I would go crazy! We'd been gone for six weeks at that point - the longest I've been apart from our grandkids ever! It was a wonderful four days home but way too short and went by way too fast. We did the Pence Thanksgiving at North Seattle and it was so good to see everyone. Thanks again to Carol and Jann for hosting that each year, I know how much work it is, but just know how much we appreciate it. The Pence siblings performed the Christmas story with Ashley as Mary, Breezy as Joseph, Justice as baby Jesus, Bailey as narrator and shepherd, Anna as the angel, and Callie as a lamb. It was a great success! They practiced for weeks and I know it was hard to keep everyone motivated but it certainly paid off and was well received by all. Cameron and Madison weren't to be outdone as they entertained us with several jokes that had the crowd laughing.

It was so hard to say goodbye at the end of the four days. My heart breaks each time I must leave them and I see tears in their eyes. I know that God has blessed this new chapter in our lives so I must believe that He will be there for each of our munchkins as they deal with this separation.
